Knowing when to say when

Man I have been hitting the gym pretty religiously these days and my body has finally raised the white flag. I was so tired during the day last Monday that I was almost at the point where I had to ask people I know what my name is. From past experience I've learned that when you body starts talking to you, you better listen! I've taken this week off and I can say that as of today, Saturday, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the iron next week.

Plus, taking some time off has allowed me to enjoy some other activities.
1. Jumping on the trampoline with the kids (later in the week of course)
- I'm sure the neighbors get a kick out of seeing my fat butt jumping on a trampoline but it's all good! The kids enjoy the time I spend with them so that's what really matters!

2. Teaching my daughter how to draw muscles on stick figures
- My six year old loves to draw and the other day she wanted to learn how to draw muscles. It was a lot of fun and we both drew up some ridiculous looking stickmen :-)
- Plus, I was also able to create a new T-Shirt design that you can checkout under my t-shirts link. (No, it is not a muscle-bound stickman)

3. Worked on some sculptures
- I finally finished my gym rat sculpture (The Big Cheese). I am currently in the process of creating a mold and will post final pics of the sculpture in the next couple of weeks. I really like how this guy turned out and if you’re into muscles I think your going to love him too.
- I just started my newest figurine which will be of a caveman (called Old School Bodybuilding). He's really in the beginning stages and I won’t have anything worth looking at for at least a month.
- In addition to the caveman I also have a new iron angel that I am working on. If he turns out like the way I have him pictured in my head he is going to be my best sculpture to date. The bodybuilding angels are fun especially when you show them to the old ladies. You can tell they just hate them, but hey that's what I am here for ;-) . Actually if you don't like muscles then your on the wrong website. You may want to check out my fine art website at www.geraldgore.com.

Until next time,
